SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

...take place each week at 9:45 a.m. Here are your choices:

• The American Covenant, our Christian history, with Pastor Rob in the Sanctuary.
• A Walk Through Gospels, the teachings of Jesus with Pastor Harrison in the Upper Room.
• Women’s Bible Study in classroom upstairs with various women leaders of the Lighthouse.
• Come at 9:15 and enjoy a cup of coffee, a bagel and fellowship.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED

...for the Lighthouse World Charities Thrift Store located at 18th and Wilshire. If you can give a few hours of your time, please call Steve at (310) 828-4100. Customers are also always appreciated. Also, hangers are always needed! Proceeds from the store are used for our Africa medical missions and our school.

THE LIGHTHOUSE WORLD CHARITIES THRIFT STORE

...is looking to collect new or used toys for Christmas. If you have stuffed animals, toys, bikes or children’s clothing in good condition that you would like to donate, please drop them off at the store or call Steven for pick-up (310) 828-4100 .

THE LIGHTHOUSE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

...science dept. has been greatly improved with weekly labs, experiments and equipment. We are presently in need of a couple more microscopes. If you would like to contribute toward the purchase of these, please contact Pastor Peter, (310) 829-2767.

A SCRAPBOOKING CLASS

...with projects of various kinds has resumed. This is an evening of fellowship and creativity for women of all ages which meets on Mondays at 7:00 p.m. at the Cornett home, 11761 Palms Blvd., Mar Vista. For more information, please call Patty (310) 963-5712.

THE NEXT PARENTING GROUP

THE LIGHTHOUSE SCHOOL ORIENTATION

...for grades K-8th is scheduled for Thursday, August 19th at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This is a very important informational meeting for all parents of both new and returning students which will help us be prepared and ready to start on September 8th.

THE LIGHTHOUSE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY GOLF TOURNAMENT
